My first stop after leaving Nashville to resume my odyssey was Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  I found a lovely little camping spot by the Little Pigeon River, with adorable little ducks swimming by and quacking quietly.  Unfortunately, they kept up the freaking quacking for half the night, but oh well, ducks will be ducks. I decided to have a longer stay near the ocean, so arrived at Galveston Island, Texas in the evening, planning to stay two nights.  I walked down by the ocean in the evening and it was beautiful, just the sound of the ocean as I watched the sun set.
