Autumn in the Adirondack Mountains of New York is always lovely, and while I was in the area I wanted to revisit a few places that I used to enjoy, most particularly the Tahawus area. The views driving into the mountains are fantastic, but as with most large landscapes, photos don’t really do them justice. In my travels, I’ve several times driven past signs pointing me to Big Bone Lick State Park, so on my way north for some house hunting I decided to stop for a visit. In addition to the funny name, it also has a quite interesting history, and is worth looking up.
